THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN, AND APPRECIATION OF, THE DRAMATIC ARTS IN WIRRAL AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY:(A) WORKING WITH SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES TO USE PERFORMANCE AS A MEANS TO SUPPORT LEARNING AND DEVELOP A GREATER UNDERSTANDING OF SHAKESPEAREAN TEXTS;(B) THE PRESENTATION OF ARTISTIC PERFORMANCES OF SHAKESPEAREAN DRAMA THAT IS ACCESSIBLE AND ENGAGING TO THE PUBLIC;(C) PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PRODUCTION OF AMATEUR PERFORMANCES, INCLUDING SCRIPT WRITING, ACTING, CHOREOGRAPHY, PRODUCTION, THEATRE PRODUCTION, SET DESIGN, COSTUME, MAKE UP AND ‘BACK STAGE’ ELEMENTS OF STAGECRAFT.
