THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: (A) TO PROVIDE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED, BY REASON OF ILL-HEALTH, THROUGH THE THERAPEUTIC USE OF MUSIC;(B) TO ADVANCE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM, OR AT RISK OF, MENTAL OR PHYSICAL ILLNESS OR ANXIETY, OR IN NEED OF REHABILITATION, BY THE THERAPEUTIC USE OF MUSIC; AND(C) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION BY PROMOTING AND SUPPORTING EVIDENCE-BASED RESEARCH INTO THE THERAPEUTIC USE OF MUSIC FOR HEALTH PURPOSES AND DISSEMINATING THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.
