TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE EMERGENCY SERVICES OF THE UNITED KINGDOM WHOSE MENTAL AND/OR PHYSICAL HEALTH HAS BEEN CLINICALLY AFFECTED BY TRAUMA AS A RESULT OF INJURIES SUSTAINED DURING SERVICE.FOR THE PURPOSES OF THESE OBJECTS, THE TERM 'EMERGENCY SERVICES PERSONNEL' MEANS:I) SERVING MEMBERS OF THE POLICE (INCLUDING SUPPORT STAFF, DETENTION OFFICERS, INVESTIGATION OFFICERS, SPECIAL CONSTABLES AND POLICE COMMUNITY SUPPORT OFFICERS); ORII) SERVING MEMBERS OF FIRE, AMBULANCE AND RESCUE SERVICES PERSONNEL (TOGETHER "ELIGIBLE PERSONNEL");WITH PREFERENCE TO BE GIVEN BY THE TRUSTEES TO MEMBERS OF THE POLICE SERVICE; ANDTHE TERM "FAMILY" OF ELIGIBLE PERSONNEL INCLUDES, BUT SHALL NOT NECESSARILY BE LIMITED TO:III) A SPOUSE, CIVIL PARTNER, A SON OR DAUGHTER UNDER 25 YEARS OF AGE;IV) A PERSON WHO IS OVER 25 YEARS OLD AND WHO IS STILL FINANCIALLY DEPENDANT ON THEIR PARENT OR STEPPARENT.
