Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT:(1) TO ADVANCE PUBLIC APPRECIATION IN THE ARTS, IN PARTICULAR THE ART OF CLASSICAL SINGING (ENCOMPASSING OPERATIC, ART SONG AND ORATORIO REPERTOIRE); AND(2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN CLASSICAL SINGING AND VOCAL MUSIC, AND TO INCREASE PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF THAT ART FORM AND ITS REPERTOIRE, INCLUDING THE WORKS OF SIR FRANCESCO PAOLO TOSTI AND OTHER COMPOSERS FOR THE VOICE.THE CIO WILL PURSUE THESE OBJECTS IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:• PRESENTING PUBLIC CONCERTS, RECITALS AND PERFORMANCES OF CLASSICAL VOCAL MUSIC;• DELIVERING MASTERCLASSES AND WORKSHOPS WHICH PUBLIC AUDIENCES MAY ATTEND AND OBSERVE;• PRESENTING PUBLIC TALKS AND DISCUSSIONS ABOUT CLASSICAL SINGING, ITS REPERTOIRE AND THE WIDER ART FORM;• ORGANISING RESIDENTIAL SINGING ACADEMIES AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES FOR YOUNG SINGERS AT AN EARLY STAGE OF THEIR VOCAL DEVELOPMENT;• PROVIDING BURSARIES, SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS TO TALENTED YOUNG SINGERS WHO WOULD OTHERWISE BE UNABLE TO ACCESS VOCAL TRAINING OF THE HIGHEST STANDARD;• PROMOTING THE PERFORMANCE, STUDY AND PRESERVATION OF VOCAL REPERTOIRE, INCLUDING THE WORKS OF SIR FRANCESCO PAOLO TOSTI AND RICHARD STOKER;• SUPPORTING AND PROMOTING PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE COLLECTIONS AND RESOURCES RELATING TO CLASSICAL SINGING;• COLLABORATING WITH OTHER ARTS ORGANISATIONS, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND PARTNERS TO BROADEN PUBLIC ACCESS TO CLASSICAL VOCAL MUSIC; AND• ANY OTHER MEANS THE TRUSTEES CONSIDER APPROPRIATE TO FURTHER THE OBJECTS.
