THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE(1) TO FURTHER THE RELIGIOUS AND OTHER CHARITABLE WORK OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND IN THE PARISH OF ST THOMAS À BECKET, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY MAINTAINING AND REPAIRING THE FABRIC OF THE CHURCH; AND(2) THE RELIEF, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE:(A) IN NEED BY REASON OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR POVERTY; AND(B) RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.(3) THE TRUSTEES MAY RELIEVE PEOPLE IN NEED BY:(A) MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY TO THEM; OR(B) PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR GOODS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES FOR THEM; OR(C) MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY TO OTHER PERSONS OF BODIES WHO PROVIDE GOODS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES TO PEOPLE IN NEED.(4) IN EXCEPTIONAL CASES THE TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE TO ASSIST PEOPLE IN NEED WHO ARE:(A) RESIDENT OUTSIDE THE AREA OF BENEFIT; OR(B) ONLY TEMPORARILY RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
