(A) TO GIVE, AT THE DISCRETION OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE CHARITY, ASSISTANCE TO PERSONS ON THEIR DISCHARGE FROM PRISON, AND DURING THEIR IMPRISONMENT TEMPORARY RELIEF TO THEIR FAMILIES IF IN DISTRESS, PROVIDED THAT SUCH FAMILIES ARE RESIDENT IN THE CITY OF LONDON OR IN THE METROPOLITAN POLICE DISTRICT. (B) TO MAKE SUCH CONTRIBUTIONS AS THE COMMITTEE SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE UPON FOR THE ASSISTANCE OF THE WORK OF THE PROBATION OFFICERS HAVING RESPONSIBILITY FOR PERSONS RESIDING IN THE CITY OF LONDON OR IN THE METROPOLITAN POLICE DISTRICT AND FOR THE WORK OF THE CHAPLAINS OF THE METROPOLITAN PRISIONS; (C) TO GIVE ASSISTANCE TO ORGANISATIONS OR PERSONS WITHIN THE CITY OF LONDON OR WITHIN THE METROPOLITAN POLICE DISTRICT CONCERNED WITH THE REHABILITATION OF OFFENDERS RESIDING IN THESE AREAS.
