FOR THE BENEFIT OF PENSIONERS WHO SHALL BE MEN AND WOMEN OF GOOD CHARACTER IN STRAITENED CIRCUMSTANCES OVER THE AGE OF 70 YEARS AND UPWARDS OR THE NATIONAL PENSIONABLE AGE, WHICHEVER IS THE LESSER, WITH A PENSION OF USUALLY NOT MORE THAN £650 PER ANNUM AND WHO ARE RESIDENT IN THE CITY OF SHEFFIELD. IN ADDITION, GRANTS MAY BE MADE TO OTHER CHARITIES WHICH HAVE COMPARABLE OBJECTIVES TO THE SCHEME AND WHICH WILL DISTRIBUTE SUCH GRANTS TO PERSONS WHO WOULD BE ELIGIBLE FOR APPOINTMENT AS PENSIONERS, FOR PURPOSES TO BE AGREED AND APPROVED BY THE TRUSTEES.
