THE OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN THE CITY OF LIVERPOOL AND NEIGHBOURHOOD FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY: 1.1.1 THE DIFFUSION OF SCRIPTURAL KNOWLEDGE THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF LIVERPOOL AND NEIGHBOURHOOD, AND GENERALLY TO ENCOURAGE THE MORAL WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE IN THAT AREA IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT INCLUDING (BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING) BY: HOUSE TO HOUSE VISITATION; THE HOLDING OF MEETINGS; THE DELIVERY OF LECTURES; THE PROVISION OF CLASSES OR RELIGIOUS SERVICES (WHETHER FOR ADULTS OR CHILDREN); THE CIRCULATION OF LITERATURE; AND THE MINISTRATIONS OF BOTH LAY WORKERS AND NON-STIPENDIARY ORDAINED MINISTERS, MALE OR FEMALE; AND 1.1.2 ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF SCRIPTURE READERS IN ANY PARISH WITHIN THE CITY OF LIVERPOOL AND NEIGHBOURHOOD. 1.2 THIS PROVISION MAY BE AMENDED BY SPECIAL RESOLUTION BUT ONLY WITH THE PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE COMMISSION.
