TO MAKE AND PRESERVE A VISUAL, WRITTEN AND SOUND RECORD OF THE TOWN'S PAST, ITS PRESENT SITUATION AND PROBABLE FUTURE DEVELOPMET IN ALL ITS VARIED ASPECTS. 5. TO ENCOURGAGE THE PRESERVATION OF ANCIENT RIGHTS SITES, BUILDINGS AND FOOTPATHS. 6. THE STUDY OF LOCAL HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY WHICH SHALL BE PROMOTED BY LECTURES, FIELD MEETINGS AND EXHIBITIONS.
