THE TRUSTEES SHALL APPLY THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS IN RELIEVING EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY SPINSTERS OF NOT LESS THAN 40 YEARS OF AGE WHO EITHER WERE BORN OR ARE RESIDENT IN THE COUNTIES OF ISLE OF WIGHT OR HAMPSHIRE WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY OR PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR ITEMS, SERVICES OR FAICLITIES CALUCLATED TO REDUCE THE NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS OF SUCH PERSONS: PROVIDED THAT IN APPLYING THE SAID INCOME THE TRUSTEES SHALL GIVE PREFERENCE TO THE DAUGHTERS OF PROFESSIONAL MEN.
