SERVING ESSEX POLICE OFFICERS AND POLICE CADETS;II. SERVING ESSEX POLICE STAFF OR SERVING SPECIAL CONSTABLES WHERE THE APPROACH HAS BEEN MADE BY THEIR RESPECTIVE BENEVOLENT FUND;III. RETIRED ESSEX POLICE OFFICERS AND POLICE CADETS, WHETHER OR NOT THEY ARE IN RECEIPT OF A PENSION (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THOSE WHO WERE DISMISSED FOR GROSS MISCONDUCT OR UNDER THE UNSATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE PROCEDURES (UPP) OR THOSE OTHERWISE ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF DISQUALIFIED OFFICERS. IN THESE CIRCUMSTANCES THE COMMITTEE SHALL DECIDE ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS AND THE COMMITTEE’S DECISION SHALL BE FINAL).IV. THE WIDOWS, WIDOWERS, CIVIL PARTNERS, LIFE PARTNERS, ORPHANS AND ANY OTHER DEPENDANTS OF ANY OF THE CATEGORIES LISTED AT I.
