TO PROVIDE FOR THE RELIEF OF POVERTY BY GRANTS OF MONEY OR GIFTS TO FORMER MEMBERS O THE LONDON HOSPITAL NURSING STAFF WHO ARE NORMALLY MEMBERS OF THE LEAGUE OF NURSES. THE BENEVOLENT FUND SUB-COMMITTEE SHALL DECIDE WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE SUCH ASSISTANCE. GRANTS MAY OCCASIONALLY BE MADE FROM THE BENEVOLENT FUND TO SUCH CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS WHO ARE ALSO ENGAGED UPON THE RELIEF OF POVERTY OR DISTRESS AMONG FORMER NURSES.
