I) TO PROMOTE THE UNDERGRADUATE OR POSTGRADUATE EDUCATION OF DESCENDANTS OF ALL PERSONS WHO SERVED OR SERVE AS REGULAR OR SUPPLEMENTARY RESERVE OFFICERS OF THE ROYAL TANK CORPS BETWEEN THE YEARS 1923 AND 1946 INCLUSIVE OR AS REGULAR OFFICERS OF THE ROYAL TANK REGIMENT AT ANY TIME AFTER 1 JANUARY 1973, WHO ARE IN NEED BY SUCH MEANS AS THE COMMITTEE MAY THINK FIT IN PARTICULAR: A) MAKING GRANTS TO ASSIST SUCH EDUCATION OF SUCH PERSONS AND B) PROVIDING FINANCIAL OR OTHER ASSISTANCE TO ASSIST SUCH PERSONS TO TRAVEL OUTSIDE THE UNITED KINGDOM IN ORDER TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION. II) TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ROYAL TANK REGIMENT.
