(A) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF PETTS WOOD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS. FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF ANY DOUBT, THE FACILITIES PROVIDED BY THE ASSOCIATION ARE NOT FOR THE PROMOTION OF ANY ONE POLITICAL OR RELIGIOUS BELIEF, GROUP OR ORGANISATION. (B) THE ASSOCIATION ITSELF SHALL BE NON-PARTY IN POLITICS AND NON-SECTARIAN IN RELIGION. TO MAINTAIN A COMMUNITY CENTRE TO BE MANAGED BY THE ASSOCIATION FOR ACTIVITIES PROMOTED IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS.
