2.1 The Objects of the Association are:(a) to promote agriculture (in all its forms including but not limited to animal husbandry, horticulture, aquaculture, forestry, food production, sustainable land management, rural crafts, environmental conservation, and all allied industries) for the benefit of the public and in particular (but not exclusively) in the County of Devon;(b) to advance education and promote research in connection with agriculture and allied industries, the rural economy and rural life, and to publish the results of such research for the public benefit; and(c) in pursuance of the above purposes, to hold and promote shows, exhibitions, conferences and competitions connected with agriculture, the rural economy and rural life including (but not exclusively) from time to time the Devon County Show.
