(C) TO UNDERTAKE RESEARCH INTO ETHOLOGY AND ECOLOGY AND TO DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH. AS REGARDS PROPERTY ACQUIRED AFTER 9TH APRIL 1996, TO PROMOTE THE HUMANE TREATMENT OF AND TO PREVENT CRUELTY TO ANIMALS AND IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING) TO FARMED ANIMALS.
