1. TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 25 LIVING, WORKING OR IN EDUCATION IN AND AROUND THE READING AREA (“THE BENEFICIARIES”) BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AS A MEANS OF: A)ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; (B) ADVANCING EDUCATION; (C) RELIEVING UNEMPLOYMENT;(D) PROVIDING RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITY IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NEED BY REASON OF YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF SUCH PERSONS. 2. TO PROMOTE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY AND VALUES AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE AND TO SUPPORT CHRISTIAN YOUTH WORK IN AND AROUND THE READING AREA, WITH A PREFERENCE FOR PROJECTS EXECUTED BY THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND. 3. PROVIDED THAT NO LESS THAN ONE THIRD OF THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY SHALL BE APPLIED TO CHRISTIAN YOUTH WORK IN AND AROUND THE READING AREA.
