4.1 TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE FOR EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL ENDS THE USE OF LIBRARIES IN SCHOOLS AND EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS FOR THOSE AGED 18 AND UNDER, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:1) PROVIDING INFORMATION AND ADVICE TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS IT, IN RELATION TO THE RUNNING OF A SCHOOL LIBRARY;2) PROVIDING INFORMATION AND ADVICE TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS IT IN RELATION TO THE ACTIVITIES AND LEARNING THAT TAKE PLACE WITHIN A LIBRARY;3) RAISING AWARENESS OF THE BENEFITS THAT A SCHOOL LIBRARY CAN HAVE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LITERACY, WELL-BEING AND ACADEMIC ATTAINMENT; AND4) PROVIDING TRAINING, PUBLICATIONS AND LIBRARIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING THESE OBJECTS.4.2 NOTHING IN THE ARTICLES SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE ASSOCIATION FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
