THE SOCIETY IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE AREA COMPRISING CHESTERFIELD BOROUGH AND THE ADJACENT CIVIL PARISHES OF BARLOW, BRAMPTON, WALTON, WINGERWORTH, HASLAND (INCLUDING WINSICK AND GRASSMOOR) AND CALOW, WHICH AREA SHALL HEREINAFTER BE REFERRED TO AS 'THE AREA OF BENEFIT' FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES: (I)TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN OR AFFECTING THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
