(1) ASSISTING PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 25 YEARS WHO ARE RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF THE PARISHES OF GOOSNARGH AND WHITTINGHAM AND THAT PART OF THE PARISH OF BARTON LYING TO THE WEST OF THE LANCASTER TO PRESTON RAILWAY TOGETHER WITH AN ADJOINING AREA OF LAND CONTAINING 6 ACRES TO THE EAST OF THE SAUD RAILWAY BEING THE LAND NUMBERED 7833 AND 7930 ON THE ORDANANCE SURVEY MAP SD 5135 (1961 EDITION) AND WHO ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ENTER UPON OR ENGAGE IN ANY PROFESSION TRADE, OCCUPATION OR SERVICE BY THE PROVISION OF TOOLS, BOOKS OR OUTFITS OR THE PAYMENT OF FEES, TRAVELLING OR MAINTENANCE EXPENSES OR BY SUCH OTHER MEANS AS WILL FIT THEM TO EARN THEIR OWN LIVING OR ADVANCE THEM IN LIFE. (2) IF AND SO FAR AS THE INCOME IS NOT REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION AS AFORESAID, THE TRUSTEES SHALL APPLY THE SAME IN AUGMENTING THE INCOME OF THE GOOSNARGH AND WHITTINGHAM UNITED CHARITY.
