Public contracts won

iFrom Contracts Finder and Find a Tender, the UK Government's public procurement notices, under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Contracts are matched to this organisation by company number, charity number or exact name and postcode, never by fuzzy name. For a company, contracts awarded to companies it owns through Companies House ownership data are included and labelled. A value shown as not stated is one the notice does not give (or gives as 0 or 1). Every contract links to its source notice.

    What

The City of Edinburgh Council (the Council) requires a Framework Agreement for the provision of Clerk of Works services to support the delivery of the Council’s capital construction projects. The Framework Agreement will be utilised by the Councils’ Place Development and Regeneration, Housing Service, Capital Programmes Team, Edinburgh Waterfront, Facilities Management, Housing and Homelessness, Sustainable Construction Delivery and Mixed Tenure Improvement Services. This arrangement will provide Clerk of Works resource for service areas delivering both residential and non-residential construction projects. Residential projects will be centred around the Council’s affordable house building programme (Development and Regeneration) and potentially in upgrades, refurbishment of existing housing (Housing). Non-residential construction is wider ranging and may include delivery of education, leisure or other buildings being delivered on behalf of the Council through the capital programme. Clerks of Works are used as a quality control resource across construction sites. They attend site daily, on the client’s behalf, inspecting progress with construction against the construction drawings.

Other boards counts directorships that are current in the Companies House officer data; it does not say whether the people are the same without a matching date of birth, and is not proof of any link between the companies.

Gaps to watch

  • Narrow spread of sectors across the board

Where to look Suggested search: succession planning for long-tenured seats; directors from a wider range of sectors.

  • Absent is not zero. A figure shown as Not reported was not given in the accounts we hold. Small and micro companies do not have to file a profit and loss account, so turnover and profit are usually absent for them.
  • Accounts for years ending in 2025 and 2026 are still being filed, so the newest years may be missing.
  • Employees, cash and net assets are shown as Not shown when the filed figure is not possible (for example a negative headcount or negative cash).
Definitions
Total assets less current liabilities
Fixed assets plus current assets, minus what the company owes within a year. It is not total assets: cash can be larger than this figure when the company owes a lot in the short term. Where a filing does not give it, the table marks the fixed-assets figure used instead.
Net assets
What the company owns minus everything it owes. Also called shareholders' funds.
Turnover
Sales for the year. Only larger companies report it.
Accounts
The accounting framework named in the filing (for example FRS 102). Not stated means the filing does not say.
