BRENT IS ALSO ONE OF ONLY THREE TID CLASS TUG BOATS LEFT OF 183 BUILT FOR THE NAVY AS PART OF THE WAR EFFORT.TO MAINTAIN THE ENGINEERING AND SEAFARING SKILLS OF THE PAST BY RESTORING AND OPERATING THE BOAT AND TO PRESERVE AND DISPLAY HER FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AND EDUCATION OF ALL, BY SAILING IN THAMES, UK AND EUROPEAN WATERS WHERE AND WHENEVER POSSIBLE.
