1. THE RELIEF IN NEED OF: A) ANY SERVING OR FORMER MILITARY PERSONNEL AND SO15 PERSONNEL WHO HAVE EITHER CONDUCTED OR ASSISTED EOD AND SEARCH DUTIES. B) FAMILIES AND DEPENDANTS OF SUCH PERSONNEL BY THE PROVISION OF WELFARE SERVICES, SUPPORT AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT. 2. TO PROMOTE MILITARY EFFICIENCY OF THE EOD AND SEARCH COMMUNITY BY SUPPORTING MILITARY AND SO15 UNIT ADVENTURE TRAINING AND OTHER WELFARE ACTIVITIES THROUGH SUCH CHARITABLE MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT. 3. TO PROMOTE MILITARY AND SO15 EFFICIENCY BY COMMEMORATING AND SUSTAINING THE MEMORIES OF THOSE WITHIN THE EOD AND SEARCH COMMUNITY WHO HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE COURSE OF EXECUTING EOD AND SEARCH DUTIES.FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE 'EOD' IS EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL AND 'SO15' IS ANOTHER NAME FOR COUNTER TERRORISM COMMAND, WHICH IS BASED WITHIN THE METROPOLITAN POLICE SERVICE.
