THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ("OBJECTS") ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE FOLLOWING:(1) TO RELIEVE THE MENTAL SUFFERING AND DISTRESS OF PERSONS IN NEED BY REASON OF ILLNESS OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS IN NORTH YORKSHIRE BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF COUNSELLING, SUPPORT AND THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS.(2) TO PROMOTE AND PROVIDE EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR COUNSELLORS WORKING IN EITHER PROFESSIONAL OR VOLUNTARY SETTINGS WITH A VIEW TO RAISING THE STANDARDS OF COUNSELLING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY.
