THE CHARITY IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT FOR THE OBJECTS WHICH ARE TO ADVANCE IN LIFE YOUNG PEOPLE RESIDENT IN OR HAVING CONNECTIONS WITH WALES BY ENCOURAGING AND SUPPORTING THOSE WHO MAY WISH TO ENTER THE LEGAL PROFESSION TO DO SO BY PROVIDING THEM WITH OPPORTUNITIES THAT WOULD NOT OTHERWISE BE AVAILABLE TO THEM, AND SPECIFICALLY IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING WAYS- 1. PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES FOR ANY BENEFICIARY; 2. MAKING LOANS (WHETHER OR NOT AT INTEREST AND WHETHER OR NOT SECURED) TO ANY BENEFICIARY ON SUCH TERMS AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DETERMINE; 3. PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ANY BENEFICIARY, WHETHER GENERALLY OR FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING LAW BOOKS OR OTHERWISE WITH A VIEW TO ASSISTING THAT BENEFICIARY'S ENTRY INTO THE LEGAL PROFESSION; 4. AWARDING TO ANY BENEFICIARY GRANTS, MAINTENANCE OR TRAVEL ALLOWANCES TO ENABLE SUCH BENEFICIARY TO STUDY OR OBTAIN WORK EXPERIENCE WHETHER IN OR OUTSIDE ENGLAND AND WALES IN THE FURTHERANCE OF HIS OR HER LEGAL EDUCATION; 5. ARRANGING WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENTS FOR BENEFICIARIES; 6. PROVIDING ADVICE AND MENTORING TO AND FOR BENEFICIARIES; AND 7. OTHERWISE FURTHERING THE LEGAL EDUCATION OF BENEFICIARIES. THE TRUSTEES MUST USE THE INCOME AND MAY USE THE CAPITAL OF THE CHARITY IN PROMOTING THE OBJECTS.
