THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO TO BE CARRIED OUT IN AN AREA OF A RADIUS OF 15 MILES OF THE TOWN OF BANBURY IN OXFORDSHIRE, HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE “AREA OF BENEFIT”, ARE:3.1 FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING CHILD CARE AND NURSERY/EARLY YEARS EDUCATION WHICH WILL:3.1.1 PROMOTE THE CARE AND SAFETY OF CHILDREN;3.1.2 PROMOTE THE HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF CHILDREN;3.1.3 PROMOTE PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT; AND3.1.4 PROVIDE SERVICES TO SUPPORT CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES/CARERS.3.2 TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND PROTECT AND PRESERVE GOOD HEALTH AND WELLBEING AMONG CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES/CARERS BY PROVIDING GRANTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO ARE ESTABLISHED FOR THESE PURPOSES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, SUNSHINE CENTRE CONNECTING COMMUNITIES.3.3 FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE:3.3.1 CHARITIES ARE ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES.3.3.2 VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS ARE INDEPENDENT ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR PURPOSES THAT ADD VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, OR A SIGNIFICANT SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED BY THEIR CONSTITUTION TO MAKE A PROFIT FOR PRIVATE DISTRIBUTION. VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS DO NOT INCLUDE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OR OTHER STATUTORY AUTHORITIES.3.4 THE ABOVE OBJECTS SHALL BE CARRIED OUT WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION TO THE DETRIMENT OF ANY INDIVIDUAL ON THE GROUNDS OF COLOUR, ETHNIC OR NATIONAL ORIGIN, DISABILITY, RELIGIOUS BELIEF, SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR POLITICAL, PHILOSOPHICAL OR OTHER OPINION.
