The objects of the CIO are within Chelmsford and the surrounding areas where need arises. (1) To advance the Christian faith for the benefit of the public, in particular by:(a) providing practical support, pastoral care, prayer, and religious teaching;(b) producing and distributing literature, and holding events and activities to promote the Christian faith.(2) To relieve those in need by reason of financial hardship, in particular by the provision of food, household supplies, and other assistance to individuals and families in need.(3) To advance citizenship and community development by developing the capacity and skills of members of the community in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society.(4) To work in partnership with other charities, voluntary organisations, churches, and statutory bodies in furtherance of the above object
