TO ADVANCE HERITAGE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT WITH A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON ADULTS AND CHILDREN RESIDING ON OR NEAR THE YORKSHIRE COAST, VISITORS TO THE YORKSHIRE COAST AND THOSE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WITH AN INTEREST IN MARITIME, LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL HISTORY, BY AMONGST OTHER THINGS, PRESERVING AND PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE OF AND COMMEMORATING THE BATTLE OF FLAMBOROUGH HEAD 1779 (?THE BATTLE?) THROUGH ANNUAL LECTURES, FESTIVALS AND OTHER EVENTS, ERECTING AND MAINTAINING APPROPRIATE MEMORIALS RELATING TO THE BATTLE, AND ERECTING AND MAINTAINING INTERPRETIVE PANELS ALONG THE KING CHARLES III ENGLAND COAST PATH BETWEEN BRIDLINGTON AND SCARBOROUGH IN ORDER TO PROVIDE HISTORICAL AND CONTEXTUAL INFORMATION.
