APPLICATION OF INCOME.DIVISION INTO MOIETIES. - SUBJECT AS AFORESAID, THE SAID CLEAR YEARLY INCOME SHALL BE DIVIDED BY THE TRUSTEES INTO TWO EQUAL MOIETIES.APPRENTICING - THE TRUSTEES OF THE UNITED CHARITIES SHALL APPLY ONE OF THE SAID MOIETIES SO FAR AS USEFULLY MAY BE IN APPRENTICING POOR CHILDREN RESIDENT WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT TO SOME TRADE OR OCCUPATION. IN SO FAR AS THE SAID TRUSTEES CANNOT USEFULLY APPLY THE SAID MOIETY IN MANNER AFORESAID, THEY MAY APPLY THE SAME FOR THE ASSISTANCE OF ANY PERSONS RESIDENT AS AFORESAID, BEING UNDER THE AGE OF 21 YEARS, ON ENTERING UPON, OR TO ENABLE THEM TO PREPARE FOR, A TRADE, OCCUPATION, OR SERVICE, BY OUTFITS, PAYMENT OF FEES FOR INSTRUCTION, PAYMENT OF TRAVELLING EXPENSES, OR OTHERWISE, OR BY SUCH OTHER MEANS FOR THEIR ADVANCEMENT IN LIFE, OR TO ENABLE THEM TO EARN THEIR OWN LIVING, AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT.GENERAL BENEFIT OF THE POOR - THE TRUSTEES OF THE UNITED CHARITIES SHALL APPLY THE OTHER OF THE SAID MOIETIES FOR THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY.
