Charitable objects

The charity’s objects (‘the objects’) are: (a) To advance education by promoting a knowledge of vegetarianism by arranging and conducting meetings, discussions and lectures, printing and publishing pamphlets and other papers, providing information and instruction in vegetarianism, including matters such as organic cultivation of land and crops, preparation of food, vegetarian cooking, and balanced vegetarian diets; (b) To promote research into and provide information upon the production, utilization, preparation and dietic effect of vegetable substances for human consumption, and to publish the results of such research; and (c) To relieve poverty and to provide or assist in providing housing and any associated amenities or other assistance for older people in necessitous circumstances upon terms appropriate to their means.
