Charitable objects

The objects of the Trust are to provide a library within the Ecclesiastical Parish of Romaldkirk or elsewhere in the County Palatine of Durham for the purposes of research by serious students of the local history of:(a) The geographical County Palatine of Durham as it was at 1835 and including Craykeshire, Bedlingtonshire, Norhamshire and Holy Island (Lindisfarne) with Islandshire and after 1847 the new County Durham boundaries as were then created, notwithstanding any subsequent boundary changes.(b) The geographical Ecclesiastical Parish of Romaldkirk as it was prior to 1845.
