About

Welcome to Comet Nursery School & Children's Centre Explore, Create and Learn Together A very warm welcome to Comet Nursery School and Children's Centre. We are a Hackney Education maintained nursery school, proudly located in the heart of Hoxton. At Comet, we celebrate the rich diversity of our local community and are deeply committed to equality and inclusion for every child.

We offer both 15 and 30-hour nursery places, including tailored support for children with additional needs. Our experienced SENDCO and dedicated learning support team ensure that every child receives the care and attention they need to thrive.

Our team of qualified early years teachers, nursery education officers, and learning support assistants create a vibrant, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, experiment, and engage in hands-on learning.

We focus on building confidence, independence, and creativity—helping each child grow as a learner, communicator, collaborator, and imaginative thinker. We are proud to have retained our 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating in June 2024: "Staff have extremely high expectations for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
