About

As a Church of England school, Boutcher places Christian faith at the heart of its vision, values, and daily life. Inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, we strive to create a caring, inclusive, and respectful community where every child is valued as unique and made in the image of God.

Our Christian values guide how we learn, behave, and care for one another, encouraging kindness, compassion, forgiveness, and service. Through collective worship, prayer, and opportunities for reflection, we support the spiritual development of all members of our school community.

At Boutcher, we aim for every child to flourish academically, emotionally, and spiritually, enabling them to live life in all its fullness and make a positive difference in the world. As part of the Church of England, we work closely with the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education, which supports and challenges us to live out our Christian vision with integrity and purpose.

Our strong and valued links with St Mary Magdalen Church enrich school life through shared worship, celebration, and community involvement. These partnerships help deepen our children's understanding of faith, encourage spiritual growth, and strengthen our sense of belonging within the wider Church and local community.
