About

Friars is a vibrant multi-cultural one form entry primary school located in the Borough and Bankside ward of the London Borough of Southwark. The school welcomes 26 children to the nursery class each year and 30 children to our other year groups.

We offer a Breakfast Club from 7.45 am and an After School Club that is open until 5.45pm. We have a long history of high achievement and enrichment and we aim to make every child's time with us as rewarding as possible allowing them to be the best they can be.

Inclusion is at the heart of our ethos and values, and our aim is to meet the needs of all our pupils whatever their starting point. Our creative curriculum builds on our children's interests and involves them in shaping their own learning. Specialist teaching in music, dance and PE enhance our high-quality classroom provision.

Located a stone's throw away from London's historic Southbank, the children at Friars benefit from a wide range of enrichment experiences as part of our curriculum, whether that be visiting the Globe Theatre, the Tate Modern or Southwark Playhouse.
