St. George's is a learning community where everyone can prosper and flourish in God's wisdom and where each person is known, loved and valued. Our vision is rooted in verses 11-13 of Jeremiah 29. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord , plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." This hymn by Martha Bolton and Bob Singleton (CCLI #5623131) is based on the verses in Jeremiah that we use for our school vision. We think of it as our school hymn. What does it mean to prosper and flourish?
Children prosper when they are able to access the education provided for them and when they achieve the best that they can. They gain knowledge, skills and information, develop excellence alongside academic rigour and critical thinking. They make progress, delight in their learning and develop academic resilience.
