Our compulsory school uniform is an important part of school life and we expect all children to come to school in the correct uniform items, ready to learn.
The compulsory uniform for all year groups is:
Black or grey trousers/skirt
Socks or plain tights in a school colour i.e. white, red, black or grey
White or red Cavendish branded polo shirt
Cavendish branded sweatshirt
In the Summer, children have the option to wear the uniform outlined above or they can wear grey shorts instead of trousers, or a red and white checked dress.
Jewellery and hairstyles
Children are not allowed to wear jewellery during PE.
Wet and cold weather clothing
We also ask parents to ensure that your child comes to school in a warm, waterproof coat.

Uniform costs

DfE statutory guidance asks schools to keep uniform costs down, to say clearly what is required and what is optional, and to say where second-hand uniform can be bought.

Attendance and behaviour	Expected standard
Personal development and wellbeing	Strong standard

Ofsted management information, as at 30 September 2026, via WhatSchool: Ofsted may have published a newer report since. Since September 2024 Ofsted no longer gives a single overall grade at new inspections, so a one-word grade, where shown, belongs to the inspection date beside it. Ungraded inspections give no grade and are dated by month only. Inspections from September 2024 to November 2025 grade key judgements; report cards (from November 2025) grade evaluation areas.
