About Us Headteachers Welcome Dear Parents and Carers, I hope you are keeping well in these challenging times. My name is Joe Porter and I am the Headteacher at Darell Primary School. I am extremely proud to be in a position to lead this exceptional school.

It is in times of crisis that you fully appreciate the virtues of the people you surround yourself with and I have been humbled by the response from the Darell team. As I write, it is a joy to hear happy children playing in the playground. The full return to school has been a success and it is fantastic to be able to focus on our children's learning.

They do not need to catch up as they are where they are and from this point on, we will work with every child to ensure they reach their full potential. The child who joins Darell will be welcomed, made to feel special and part of a community.

We pride ourselves on helping our youngest children, in Nursery and in Reception, to master the skills they need to succeed and participate in learning.
