Headteachers Welcome A warm welcome to St Thomas (Halliwell) CE Primary School website. I hope you will find it informative and of interest. I strongly encourage you to visit our school to experience at first hand the happiness and enthusiasm that runs throughout. At St Thomas we believe that everyone has a light to shine.
Our aim is to nurture and develop each child's unique gifts, talents and attributes so they can go on to share what God has created within them with the world. The children, Staff and Governors share enormous pride in this school where every opportunity is offered to inspire children in their learning.
We provide a high quality education for all our pupils, enhanced by a safe, caring and positive atmosphere. Underpinned by our strong Christian ethos, every child is valued and treated as a unique individual. We offer them learning experiences which are memorable and allow them to develop skills to cope with the ever-changing world around them.
We ensure children's specific needs are catered for, whether it is developing specific skills and talents, or helping them persevere with any area of the curriculum or school life that is more challenging.
