About

St John's C of E Primary School has served its community since 1844. We welcome the chance to bring together all members of the community and love to celebrate our shared understanding of our British values. We recognise the multicultural, multi-faith nature of the United Kingdom and understand the crucial role our schools play in promoting these values.

We are a school for all. This statement outlines the key British values we actively promote. Children have key roles and responsibilities in school, such as children in Key Stage 2 who take on the roles of Dinnertime Helpers, working alongside our Midday Supervisors and Office Staff. This helps them to gain an understanding of responsibility.

All our Year 5 and Year 6 children play a very important role as Buddies to the Nursery and Reception children. They understand what it means to be a role model and to set the tone for the rest of the school- they take this very seriously. Within school, children are actively encouraged to make choices, knowing that they are in a safe and supportive environment.

As a school we educate and provide boundaries for children to make choices safely.
