About

On behalf of the governors, staff and pupils, I am delighted to welcome you to Carlton Junior and Infant School. Our website is designed to give you a real sense of who we are as a school. It showcases our children's achievements, shares important information, and celebrates the vibrant life of our community.

Carlton Junior and Infant School is a mixed, one-form entry mainstream school with no religious affiliation. We are proud to celebrate diversity and champion equality in everything we do.

At the heart of our ethos is the belief that every child should feel supported, cared for and confident to achieve their very best, unlocking opportunities as successful citizens of the 21st century. From Reception to Year 6, we strive to inspire a lifelong love of learning.

We place a strong emphasis on core skills; reading, writing, spoken language and maths, while also offering rich experiences through clubs, visits and extra-curricular activities. Our classrooms are welcoming, creative and full of energy, where children are encouraged not only to learn but to take initiative and extend their curiosity beyond the classroom walls.
