About

Quarry Mount Primary is a one-form entry, inner-city school in Woodhouse. It is a community school with links to the University of Leeds. The school itself is a spacious Victorian building. The school includes an Early Years Unit, a Pupil Development Centre and a main building. The Quarry Mount site offers education to children from 3-11 years.

The members of school, staff, pupils and governors, are diverse and the many cultures and languages within the school contribute to the school's belief in qualities and global education. 50% of the students in Quarry Mount speak English as an additional language.

Families in school come from China, Malaysia, Ghana, Eritrea, Bahrain, Montserrat, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Portugal, Zimbabwe, South Africa, just to mention a few. Quarry Mount is an inner-city school with wide vision of the world. Quarry Mount is a welcoming school. It has a fully revalidated Inclusion Chartermark.

It holds the Stephen Lawrence Award for equality work. Each year, the school holds an International Evening which celebrates the cultures of our children from around the world. Quarry Mount Primary does not tolerate prejudice and works hard to develop anti-racism practices and foster caring, moral attitudes.
