About

(Created in consultation with our whole school community July 2016 and reviewed in May 2022) Through our ambitious curriculum and exciting first-hand experiences, children will gain the knowledge, skills and firm foundations needed to understand their place in the world, whatever their starting points.

We aim to foster independence, resilience and ambition in children, helping them to achieve their best academically, emotionally and socially. We want children to see the endless possibilities in their futures, aspiring to change the world into what it could be.

At The Mount, our focus on respectful relationships permeates all areas of school life and can be seen in the interactions between children, staff and families. We are committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive and safe environment for all our children, where diversity is celebrated. We are proud of the positive, purposeful and calm atmosphere in the school.

We are a trauma-informed school, with a neutral, natural, therapeutic school environment; a relational approach to behaviour management; and emotion coaching. The wellbeing of all members of our school community is of utmost importance.
