About

iWritten by WhatSchool from official school data (Get Information about Schools, DfE and Ofsted).

Welcome to St Mary's C of E VA Primary! We are so proud of our school, our community and what we stand for as a school. We are steeped in tradition, being a Victorian building in an historic setting, we love nothing more than maintaining school traditions that have formed part of children's memories for years after they have left the school.

We are still supported by ex-pupils who are now grandparents to children at the school and we value this wonderful aspect which forms part of the character of our school. At the heart of everything we do are our Christian values which help children to gain an understanding of how Christians live in a diverse and challenging world.

These values can be seen 'living' when anyone comes to visit our school. Visitors are warmly welcomed by adults and children. Children are polite and courteous and our values of Hope, Community, Justice, Courage, Joy and Peace shine through everything they do and say.

We offer a warm, welcoming and secure environment, in a school that believes in a strong sense of family community in close partnership with the church, parents, staff and governors.
