About

We hope that this website will introduce you to the work of our school community, its atmosphere and ethos, and how these reflect the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. Christ the King is a Voluntary Aided Catholic Primary School provided by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth and maintained by Reading Borough.

We base our work on the Gospel values of freedom and charity. Our mission statement makes the following three commitments: Our school community will grow in a happy atmosphere of warmth, co-operation and mutual respect, following the teaching of the Catholic faith.

We recognise and value the experience and needs of each child and his or her family; we appreciate everyone's unique gifts. We will provide a safe environment in which children are able to succeed.
