About

A Warm and Nurturing Learning Community in the Heart of Eden Valley Armathwaite Primary School is a small, friendly, and caring village school serving the wonderful communities of Armathwaite and Ainstable. Nestled in the beautiful Eden Valley, we offer education for children aged 3-11 years in a supportive and inspiring environment. At Armathwaite, every child is valued.

We believe in working together children, parents, staff, and the wider community to create a school where everyone thrives. As a true community school, we take pride in fostering strong relationships and encouraging our children to become confident, independent learners. We are fortunate to have plentiful outdoor space, which plays a central role in our approach to learning.

Whether exploring nature, developing independence, or working on hands-on projects, our children gain essential life skills along the way. Our dedicated team of specialist teachers works together to deliver a rich and high-quality curriculum, ensuring that every child receives the best possible learning experiences. We would love to welcome you to our school community!

Come and see what makes Armathwaite Primary a special place to learn and grow. - Mrs Stamp, Headteacher.
