About

A caring community where every child is nurtured and valued, empowered and inspired to achieve. Welcome to Penruddock Primary School a small, nurturing school at the heart of our vibrant village community, set within the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District National Park. I feel privileged to serve as Executive Head Teacher of Penruddock Primary School.

With over twelve years of experience leading small rural schools, I am passionate about the opportunities they offer close relationships, high levels of individual care, and strong links with families and the wider community. At Penruddock, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and supportive environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to thrive.

Our dedicated staff work hard to provide an inspiring, creative and ambitious curriculum that develops curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. We are committed to preserving the unique strengths of small schools while embracing new ideas and ways of working.

By building partnerships with other schools and thinking creatively about how we use our resources and drawing inspiration from our unique locality and sense of place we aim to offer the very best education and ensure a bright future for Penruddock and the children we serve.
