About

Welcome to Roose Community Primary School. I would like to wish you a very warm welcome to Roose Community Primary School, a caring community-focused school on the edge of Barrow in Furness. Our motto and vision As a Caring Community, we Learn and Grow reflects our daily lives in school.

We operate as a family , supporting and nurturing our pupils and families with a positive mind-set so we can learn, grow and develop together. We follow The National Curriculum for teaching and learning, which we tailor to meet the needs and interests of our pupils and we have high expectations of our children.

We make learning fun and engaging, making the most of the fantastic outdoor space we have available. We follow our own Values Education system which helps us to focus on our social and emotional learning and behaviours whilst we look after the wellbeing of our children and families.

These values were chosen and identified via questionnaires with children, families, staff and governors as being central to our school ethos and important to the well-being and growth of our children and community.
