About

Flookburgh CE Primary School was opened in 1971 and is a Foundation School which means that the governors are responsible for the employment of staff and the delegated budget. The school educates children from three to eleven years of age.

Children are admitted to the main school in September of the school year in which they reach the age of five, giving each child seven, full-years in school. Our Teacher-Led Nursery offers places for up to 26 children; children are welcome to join us the term after they reach the age of three.

All of our Nursery children are entitled to at least 15 hours per week of free-Nursery Education, which we offer over five mornings per week.

We also offer our families unto 30 hours Nursery Education per week; these additional hours are free for families who meet the eligibility criteria however, parents working over 16 hours per week can pay for additional hours, if they would like.
