Carlton Hill is a friendly and inclusive, one-form entry school. We celebrate our rich and diverse local community and work hard to promote our vision Kind Hearts and Curious Minds with everyone. This recent feedback from another professional: kindness and nurture pervades this school, reflects the atmosphere of Carlton Hill.
At our school, good teaching is not giving the answers but inspiring children to want to find out more. We encourage children to be brave, take risks and enjoy the struggle (and the satisfaction!) of grasping new ideas.
With a 'love of learning' and plenty of effort, we believe that all children can learn new things, so instead of saying, I can't do it! we say, I can't do it yet! Here are some of the things we say to promote a growth mindset at Carlton Hill, fair means that everyone gets what they need, not that everyone gets the same.
