About

At St Mary's, we want all children to achieve their ambitions and so from the moment they arrive in Reception to when they leave us in Year 6, they are on an exciting learning journey.

This journey of discovery takes them to both real and imaginary places, where our children will become different types of learners including scientists, historians, mathematicians, authors and artists. Our children will learn and develop skills whilst exploring and discovering knowledge as part of each journey they are on.

The St Mary's curriculum has been designed to ensure that pupils revisit and build on previously learnt knowledge. The curriculum has repeated themes, which come up time and time again in topics, helping children to assimilate new information and understand how this fits into their growing bank of knowledge.

Through our coherent curriculum, children develop knowledge, understanding and skills, which ensure that they are able to maximise their learning potential. Children leaving St Mary's do so having acquired academic, social and life skills, which will enable them to live life to the full and achieve excellence.
